The Putnam County Jail is located on the premises with the sheriff’s office. Lieutenant Tracey Bowen is in charge of the jail, and the jail can house approximately 120 inmates. Visitation varies by the dorm location of the inmate. Visitation for Dormitory 1000 and for female inmates can be done at any time during normal visiting hours. Visitation for Dormitory 2000 and Dormitory 3000 is from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursdays and 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Sundays. Visitation for Dormitory 4000 and Dormitory 5000 is from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursdays and 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Sundays.
