Midway is a city in the center of Liberty County, Georgia and it is surrounded by wetlands and two islands – Colonel’s Island and Dolphin Island, Midway is part of the Hinesville-Fort Stewart metropolitan statistical area. It is near Savannah, Brunswick, St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. In 2010, the population of Midway was recorded at 2,121, however estimates from 2016 show a decrease since then and now the population is under 2,000 residents.
