If you are financially broken or if you don’t have the money to post the bail money, you should get help from a bail bondsman. A bail bondsman would post the bail money on behalf of you. In return, you need to pay at least $100. In some cases, you might need to pay between 10% and 15% of the total bail money.

This year 911 is celebrating 50 years since the first 911 call was placed, which occurred in Haleyville, Alabama February 16, 1968. This week we are celebrating National Telecommunications Week, which honors the men and women in the 911 dispatch profession. The Baldwin County E911 Center has the best 911 Dispatchers. Just because you don’t see their face, doesn’t mean they aren’t saving your life. Behind every first responder hero, there is a guardian looking out for them, and that guardian is a 911 dispatcher. They are the true first responders in times of need. They are the voice of calm in moments of chaos, and the voice you hear on the other end of the phone line that strive to provide hope to those who need it in their darkest hours. They are not only the vigilant guardians for first responders, but also for the citizens of Milledgeville and Baldwin County. These men and women must make split second decisions on what to do and who to send in emergency situations. They do not have the luxury of being able to take their time or just say “I’ll get to that in a little bit.” The Baldwin County E911 center processes between 160,000 and 200,000 calls for service every year.
So in honor of National Telecommunications Week, I want to personally thank those men and woman for the outstanding job that they do, and for the service they provide to this county. Thank you Ryan Adams, Deanna Blount, Kayla Harless, Christina Harris, Ken Jackson, Megan Kennedy, Haley Meeks, Dustin Mosteller, Danesha Sanford, and Jessica Shaw. I am extremely proud of the outstanding jobs that you do, and for also being that unseen hero. You are all appreciated more than you know.

Thank you,

Mandy Ptak
Baldwin County E911 Director
