Bail and Bondsman

The bail money is what you have to pay to get out of police custody. Typically, the bail money is 10% of the total money charged for a crime offense. The court decides how much money one should pay as charges for his or her crime offense. If you are financially insolvent or if you cannot pay the bail money in cash, you should get help from a bail bondsman. A bail bondsman would post the bail money and charge at least $100 for their services. In other cases, you have to around 10-15% of the total bail money.

Worst customer service ever. Two different woman blowing up my phone, ranting like a child. Where’s my money, where’s my money. Funny thing is I don’t owe them a dime. Not even had a court date yet. Owner seems ok, at least she showed some intelligence.
If you have a choice pass this one by.

I’ve used their services twice and both times my needs were handled. My in person experience was fine, but phone etiquette could be better

This young lady rocks. Had to get my nephew out. She helped with getting him expedited immediately. Was told by jail had to wait another 2.5 hrs after waiting an hour, even though bond was made well before a shift change. Within mins the jail was releasing my nephew after this place told me to get Higher up or chief. Bam he was released. Hope to never need Rapid again but if I do, I will only use this company. I definitely recommend them. Its a shame jails have favoritism to other bail bondsmans but they do. I saw them let a bondsman sign out someone during a shift change.

Recently, Sheriff Ted Jackson met with 39th President Jimmy Carter to introduce him to Rosalyn Loves. She’s the 8-year-old from Louisiana who visited us in February to hug deputies. Rosalyn has traveled across the country to show appreciation to law enforcement officers by hugging them.

Rosalyn’s family approached the staff in the Community Outreach Section about her wish to meet President Carter. The President’s staff at the Carter Center was delighted to arrange to the meeting. Rosalyn’s parents and her siblings drove to Atlanta to see #39. President Carter appeared to be very touched by the opportunity to meet such a special child and her family.

By the way, Rosalyn shares the name of First Lady Mrs. Rosalyn Carter. Photo credit: The Carter Center

This was the final day of the Georgia Association of Women in Public Safety conference in Athens. We may be biased in typing this but…they saved the best for last!!! FCSO Deputy LaShira Norwood spoke to the group and answered questions about her journey to become Fulton’s first female SWAT/Sniper Operator.

Earlier this week, the GAWPS Board of Directors presented Deputy Norwood with an award for her achievements. Thank you for recognizing her and organizing such a great conference. Our representatives, Lt. Vivian Dixon-Bradford (official FCSO photographer at the conference!), Sgt. LeeAndrea Wyche, and Lt. Chervon Forehand, enjoyed the conference and will share their new knowledge with staff. See you next year!
