Bail and Bondsman

The bail money is what you have to post to the court to get out of jail. Usually, the bail money is 10% of the total money charged for a crime offense. Based on the severity of the crime offense, the court decides how much money one should pay as charges for the crime they have committed. If your bail money is set too high or if you are going through financial turmoil, a bail bondsman might come handy. A licensed bail bondsman would post the bail money for you. In return, you need to pay at least $100. In other cases, this fee might vary between 10% and 15% of the total bail money.

BCSO does NOT call to advise you that you have a warrant for your arrest. We also do not take payments to cancel warrants electronically or by purchasing gift cards!

There have been reports of someone posing as a BCSO deputy calling and saying that you have missed jury duty and have a warrant. You should hang up if you receive a call such as this.
