The court will decide how much money one should pay as charges for whatever crime they have committed. If the bail money set is too high or if you are financially insolvent, you should get help from a bail bondsman. A verified bail bondsman would post the bail money and charge at least $100. In some cases, you might end up paying around 10-15% of the total bail money.

Banks County arrest warrant leads to marijuana seizure in Jackson County

On Monday, February 19, 2018, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Banks County Sheriff’s Office, and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office served an arrest warrant on Nikki Nelson Allen at 51 Kensington Court, Commerce, Georgia. The outstanding warrant was issued in Banks County for distribution of Marijuana. Authorities smelled a strong odor of marijuana which lead to a search warrant. Jackson County authorities seized approximately 5.5 pounds of marijuana, a large quantity of Butane Honey Oil (BHO) along with $7,462.00.

The marijuana and BHO has a street value of $27,500.00 dollars. BHO is a super-potent type of hash that has surged on the marijuana market. The “dabs” of oil can be vaporized and inhaled without the pungent smell of weed, and produce a soaring high for even longtime cannabis smokers with a strong tolerance for the drug.

Nikki Allen, 35, was charged with possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of schedule 1 BHO with intent to distribute. Allen was transported to the Jackson County Detention Center.

I enjoyed speaking to the Lumpkin County Retired Educators Association about Identity theft and fraud. It is always such an honor for me to speak to the very individuals that inspired me some 30 years ago. In Lumpkin County, we have a deep heritage of excellent educators in our community and I am honored that I was given the opportunity to speak.
Thank you for your service! Sheriff Stacy M. Jarrard
