Sex Offender Search and Lookup

Each of the registered sex offender’s information is recorded on either national or state based sex offender database. All these people have been charged with either a sex crime or a kidnapping crime. Typically, a sex offender is someone who has committed a sex crime including rape, incest, sexual abuse of a minor, child pornography, and sex trafficking. A sex crime is any illegal act that involves forced or coerced sexual conduct against another person. You can access the sex offender’s list of Lamar County Detention Center if you go to this link:

You should note that the search result will show you the last known or primary addresses of the sex offender you are looking for. You have to accept a disclosure to use the database.

Bail and Bondsman

Bail is a process of obtaining release from the police custody for which one has to post the bail money. The bail money is usually 10% of the total money charged for a crime offense. The court will decide how much money one should pay as charges for their committed crime. If the bail money set is too high or if you are going through financial trouble, you should get help from a bail bondsman. A bail bondsman would post the bail money and charge at least $100. In some cases, you might end up paying around 10-15% of the total bail money.

“See something, Say something”

We met with the school superintendent this morning and discussed the schools security plan. We are excited that our school system has a great plan and has met with us on several occasions about security issues. The school board met with me this summer before this school year to discuss security as well, and implemented new measures. Remember “See something Say something.” This policy was just used last week by a student and the staff handled it very fast. We will continue to be in constant communication with our school system about security and we are always committed to training, in regards to any event that can be predicted.
