Officers made contact with 58-year-old Ray Louder, Jr. at the home, where they detected the strong aroma of marijuana and were able to view suspected drug residue. Officers detained Louder at that time while agents from the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit secured a search warrant for the residence.

A quantity of cocaine, along with marijuana and ecstasy, were discovered by drug agents during the search, and Louder was transported to the Coffee County Jail. Folks, we’re pleased to announce that after several months of attempting to convince Google of our jail phone number, they have finally believed us, and a search of “Coffee County Jail” now reflects the correct number, (912) 383-6398.

If you’re looking for jail information, you can bypass a lot of pain and heartache by calling this line instead of the sheriff’s office main number. Our people in the front office would probably appreciate it as well, as they are relatively oblivious to matters concerning bail, bonds, visitation, court dates, commissary, how much money is on an inmate’s “books,” or pretty much anything else involving jail matters.
