Peach County Deputy Brandon Williams conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 49 in Byron around 6:30 pm on February 14, 2018. During the traffic stop Deputy Williams called for assistance from Byron PD Officer Wes Griffis and his K-9. Byron’s K-9 alerted to the passenger compartment of the vehicle. What appeared to be a Kilo of Crystal Methamphetamine and a small amount of Marijuana was located in the vehicle. Kaci Tolbert of Rome, Ga. was aressted and charged with: Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana. The street value of the Crystal Meth is aprox. $120,000.

We like practically every other law enforcement agency in the state are experiencing a rash of entering autos and auto thefts. The hoodlums are walking through neighbourhoods checking for UNLocked vehicles. They take any valuables left in the vehicle and occasionally get lucky and find a vehicle with the keys left in the ignition. Come on man, this is 2018!! Don’t leave valuables in the vehicle or at least don’t leave them in plain view. LOCK the doors …. please. Call the PoPo if you hear or see anything suspicious. Help us help you.
