McDonough is a city in the center of Henry County, Georgia, which is part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. It is also the county seat of Henry County, Georgia. Although it is part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, it has unincorporated communities within the county, including: Blacksville, Flippen, Kelleytown, and Ola. In 2010, the population was recorded at 22,084, but but 2016 estimates were that the city had grown to 23,964 people.
