Nahunta is a city in Brantley County, Georgia in southeastern Georgia. It is the county seat of Brantley County and is part of the Brunswick Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area. During the 2010 census, the population was recorded at 1.053; however estimates from 2016 show a decrease in the population to 1,048. Nahunta is an important crossroad as U.S. 82 and U.S. 301 intersect in downtown Nahunta.

In 2010, Mayor Jacobs also approved the right of 48 KKK members to march through Nahunta passing out propaganda, although there is no evidence that Mayor Jacobs supported such speech or simply supported the First Amendment and the right of the KKK to free speech.
