Newnan is a city in Metro Atlanta and it is the county seat of Coweta County, Georgia. Newnan is approximately 40 miles southwest of Atlanta. During the 2010 census, the population of Newnan was recorded at 33,039; however estimated from 2016 indicate that the population has increased to at least 37,912 residents.
